Group limits

The number of groups depends on the community’s or pastoral unit’s plan: Base 2, Essentials 4, Pro 7, Max unlimited. It is not a monthly limit: it counts existing groups.

In Groups & Associations, the Parish groups indicator in the header shows how many groups you have against the limit, for example “3/4”. Select it to open the details with the usage and how many entries you can still add.

Catechism groups have a separate count, shown in the Catechism groups row of Settings > Plan & usage.

If you already have all the groups your plan allows, Create Group in the last step of the wizard does not create the group and opens the limit window with the available solutions. Saving also refuses a group over the limit, for example when another collaborator has just created one.

To create a new group you can archive or delete a group you no longer need, or move to a plan with more groups.

Each group has its own monthly counters for calendar appointments, notices and events. What the group creates does not use up the community’s or pastoral unit’s counters, and vice versa.

Each group’s limits are the same as the community’s or pastoral unit’s plan: when the plan goes up, every group’s limits go up too. The group’s appointments count with the same rules as the community’s: an open-ended recurring series, such as the weekly meeting, takes 1 place per month.

In the group’s Calendar or Board, a usage count appears as the group nears its limit. At the limit, a “limit reached” message replaces the create button, with a note: the group has the limits of the community’s plan and a higher plan raises them.

If the limit is reached while saving, an informational group window explains when the count resets; close it with Got it. No packs can be bought from there.

If you enter the meeting’s day, time and frequency (Weekly, Every two weeks or Monthly) when creating the group, MiaChiesa creates an open-ended recurring appointment in the group’s calendar. It takes 1 place per month on the group’s counter, not on the community’s.

If the group has already used all its appointments for the month, the group is still created and a warning appears: the meeting is not in the calendar. You can add it later from the group’s Settings tab, Regular meeting section.
