MiaChiesaCollecting parish: who receives fees in a pastoral unit
In a Merged pastoral unit, choose which Stripe account receives the fees for GrEst, after-school and catechism, even when the parishes have two different Stripe accounts, and what the fee costs.
Before you begin
- You work in a Merged pastoral unit and the GrEst or after-school edition belongs to the unit.
- At least one parish of the unit has connected its own Stripe account in Settings → Payments.
- You need the Manage summer camp editions permission (or Manage after-school editions).
Why you need a collecting parish
In Merged mode GrEst and after-school editions belong to the pastoral unit, but the unit has no Stripe account of its own: each parish connects its own. Collecting parish says which account receives the fees families pay online for that edition.
The app says so under the field: “Fees land in this parish’s Stripe account. The pastoral unit has no account of its own.”

For catechism in Merged mode each group has a required Hosting parish: “Which parish of the unit hosts the group. Drives the parish filter and which parish collects the fee.”
Choose the parish
Open the Choose the parish list: it shows every parish of the unit. Those that cannot collect online yet show “(not connected)”.
If you pick a parish that is not connected, “… cannot collect online yet: connect its Stripe account, or choose another parish.” appears and online payments for that edition don’t start until the account is connected. If you choose nothing: “Without a choice the fees go to an arbitrary parish of the unit, and it can change between payments.” Save the edition with Save.
Two Stripe accounts in the same unit
If two parishes have two different Stripe accounts, each connects its own from Settings → Payments, choosing the parish in “Settings of” (in Merged mode “Merged · settings per parish” appears).
Then, for each edition, choose who collects: for example GrEst on one parish and after-school on the other. Each edition collects on a single parish.
MiaChiesa fee and Stripe fee
Every online payment has two separate fees. The MiaChiesa fee depends on the plan; in Merged mode the pastoral unit’s plan applies to the payments of all its parishes, whichever parish collects.

Stripe’s own fee comes on top and is set by Stripe: 1.5% + €0.25 for European cards, 2.5% + €0.25 for non-EU cards. The MiaChiesa plan does not lower it. In GrEst and after-school fees the “Fee on GrEst quotas” box (or the after-school one) shows both items and an example of the net amount for the parish.
Frequently asked questions
I don’t see Collecting parish
It appears only for editions that belong to a Merged pastoral unit. In a single parish or in Bulk Operations the edition belongs to the parish and collects on its account.
Can I split fees between two parishes?
No: each edition collects on a single parish. You can choose different parishes for different editions.
Does the fee change with the collecting parish?
No. In Merged mode the pastoral unit’s plan counts; the Stripe fee is always Stripe’s.
