MiaChiesaTurn on two-step verification
Protect your account: after the password MiaChiesa asks for a code from the authenticator app on your phone.
Open Account & security
Open Settings → Account & security; in the faithful’s app it is the same item under Settings. In the Security · 2FA and password card turn on the Two-factor authentication (2FA) switch.
Link the authenticator app
Set Up Two-Factor Authentication opens. On a computer scan the QR code with the authenticator app; on a phone copy the code shown and enter it manually in the app.
Type the 6-digit code the app generates and select Verify: Authenticator app configured appears.
Save the backup codes
In the Backup Codes step use Copy all or Download as file and keep them somewhere safe: they let you sign in if you lose your phone. Each code works once.
Tick I have saved these codes in a safe place and select Complete.
Check it is on
2FA set up successfully! appears and the switch stays on. From your next sign-in, after the password you will be asked for the app’s code.
What you have achieved
- Your account requires the password and the authenticator app code.
- You have backup codes to sign in even without your phone.
Troubleshooting
I see “Invalid code. Please try again.”
Enter the code the app shows right now and select Verify again.
Complete stays disabled
First tick “I have saved these codes in a safe place”.
I lost my phone
Sign in with one of the backup codes, then set up the app again.
I have few backup codes left
In Security · 2FA and password use Regenerate: the previous codes stop working.
