Sign out of a device or permanently close your MiaChiesa account, knowing first what it means.
Open the danger zone
In Settings open Sign out or close account (on a phone, from the section picker at the top of the page). You’ll find two actions: Log out and Close account, each with its own confirmation.
Sign out of this device
Select Log out and confirm in Log out?. You sign out of this device only: the account stays and you can sign back in anytime.
To sign out of every device use Sign out everywhere in Account & security instead.
Read what closing means
In Close account select Delete. The Close your account? dialog lists the consequences under What this means: you lose access to the communities and their tools, roles and delegations are revoked, your personal profile data is deleted, while content you created stays with the community.
Confirm closing
If you like, pick a reason in What's making you close your account? and write in Reason (optional). Select Delete to confirm: you’re signed out.
Account deleted appears, or Deletion request sent if immediate deletion isn’t possible: in that case the card shows the request date and “awaiting confirmation”.
What you have achieved
- You’re signed out of this device, or your account is closed or being closed.
Troubleshooting
I see “Request already sent”
You already have a deletion request in progress: there’s no need to send another.
I see “Couldn't complete the action. Please try again.”
Closing didn’t go through: try again later.
I selected Log out: does my account still exist?
Yes. Log out only ends the session on this device; sign in again with the same credentials.
