MiaChiesaGroup screens and apply a playlist
Sort screens by place of worship, space or custom group and send the same playlist to every screen in a group.
See how they are grouped
Open Screens and scroll to the Devices card. Screens are already split by place of worship and by space; those without a place sit under No group.
The filters at the top (All, a group, No group) show only the screens in that group.
Create a custom group
Select New group, type the name in the “Group name…” field and press Enter. “Group created” appears and the filter switches to the new, still empty group.
Move a screen into the group
In the screen’s row open the tag next to its name (it shows the current group, or No group). The menu lists Places of worship, Parish spaces and Custom: choose the group. “Screen updated” appears.
A screen sits in one group only. Remove from group sends it back to No group.
Apply a playlist to the whole group
In the group header open Group actions (the three dots), choose Apply a playlist to the group and select the playlist. “Playlist applied to the whole group” appears: every screen in the group shows that playlist.
On custom groups the same menu also offers Rename group and Remove group; place-of-worship and space groups take their names from those places and spaces.
What you have achieved
- Screens are sorted into recognisable groups.
- With one command every screen in a group shows the same playlist.
Troubleshooting
I see “Could not create the group”
The group was not saved. Check your connection and try again.
I can’t find Rename group
Only custom groups can be renamed or removed. Place-of-worship and space groups take their names from the community’s places of worship and spaces.
I see “Could not apply the playlist”
The group’s screens were not updated. Try again; if it persists, assign the playlist from the single screen.
