MiaChiesaFollow or unfollow a community
Manage the communities you follow: choose the main one, stop following those you’re no longer interested in and find new ones.
Open Your parishes
The Your parishes page opens at miachiesa.it/fedele/parrocchie. Under Main you’ll find the community active in the app, labelled Active; under Also followed the other communities and pastoral units you follow.
Unfollow
On the community’s card select Unfollow. The confirmation (Stop following this parish? or Stop following this Pastoral Unit?) reminds you that you’ll no longer receive updates about events and notices. Select Unfollow.
The main community has no Unfollow: first make another community the main one.
Check the outcome
Parish unfollowed appears (for a pastoral unit: You have unfollowed this Pastoral Unit) and the card leaves the list. You can follow it again anytime from its public page.
Change the main one or follow another community
On a community under Also followed select Make main: You're using this parish appears and the app shows its content.
To follow a new community use Explore: search by name or municipality, filter by diocese or use Near me. View opens the public page, where you select Follow the parish.
What you have achieved
- You follow only the communities you’re interested in.
- The main community is the one you want to see when you open the app.
Troubleshooting
I see “Unable to unfollow the parish”
The action didn’t go through: try again.
I see “Error unfollowing”
The pastoral unit couldn’t be unfollowed: try again.
I can’t see Unfollow on the main community
The main community can’t be left directly: select Make main on another community, then unfollow the previous one.
