Enable event notifications

Choose which event updates to receive and enable the channels available on your device.

Open notification settings

Open Settings and choose Notifications. This page combines the device push permission with the preferences saved to your profile.

These are separate choices: selecting Push for an event does not automatically grant permission in the browser or operating system.

Enable push on the device

In the Push notifications card, choose Enable push notifications and accept the prompt shown by the browser or operating system.

If the browser does not support push, the card links to app installation. If permission is blocked, unblock it in site settings and choose Try again.

Choose event updates

Under For you, find the rows for new events, changes, cancellations, and participation request outcomes. The types shown depend on the activities connected to your profile.

Enable the required row and choose one or more available channels. Each change is saved immediately and a message confirms the update. Required channels remain active.

What you have achieved

Selected event updates are enabled on the available channels.
Push alerts can reach the device only after browser or operating system consent.

Troubleshooting

I enabled Push but receive no alerts

Check that the card at the top says Push notifications active and that the device appears in the registered list. Also check the site permission in browser or operating system settings.

I cannot see an event option

The page only shows types that apply to your profile. Reload the section after following the community or joining the relevant activity.
